The Blowgun is a tube weapon meant to launch darts and similar agents. It was introduced in Dragon Magazine 373, in article Art of the Kill, along with other features concerning assassin-type characters. It was republished in Heroes of Shadow.[Dr373:22][HoS:19]

Loading a blowgun is a minor action.

The blowgun uses blowgun needles as the normal ammunition, which cost 1gp for a set of 10.

The blowgun is a unique item in a weapon group by itself, and is meant to be paired with either an appropriate class, or with a multiclass feat below.

Only the executioner starts with proficiency with the blowgun.
