Bugbear is a monster race in 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons.[MM:135] It can also be used as a player character race at a Dungeon Master's discretion.[MM:276]

Racial traits

As a player character race, bugbears receive the following racial traits.

Oversized
Bugbears can wield weapons of the same size, or of one size larger as though they were the same size.
Predatory Eye
Bugbears gain the predatory eye racial power. Predatory eye is an encounter power that, as a minor action, add +1d6 bonus damage per tier to the next attack against a target granting combat advantage.

Variants

Oversized tends to be unbalancingly powerful, and some players prefer having a more complete racial options.
