D&D4 Wiki

Character optimization is the concept of making characters most efficient at a task or for the game as possible.

Rating[]

On the 4th edition forums, character optimization assigns six ratings to feats or features with the following color code:

  • Red: Always a bad choice
  • Purple: Usually a bad choice or requires some special circumstance. It may still be fanstastic.
  • Black: An average choice.
  • Blue: A good choice
  • Sky Blue: A superior choice
  • Gold: Either a game breaker or otherwise being essential for building the character (e.g. a feat tax)
