The Escaped Slave is a character theme introduced in Dragon Magazine article Slaves of Athas. [Dr18]. It represents characters that were enslaved, but have escaped their former masters.
Features[]
- Escaped slaves gain training in the Bluff skill, and the Hidden Strike power.
- There are no special abilities gained, only additional power choices at appropriate levels.

Escaped Slave feats[]
- Master of Escape: +4 feat bonus to open locks, use slight of hand, and attempts to escape from a grab or restraints.
- Slave Sympathy: +4 feat to streetwise in any settlement with a significant population of slaves, +2 feat bonus to bluff, diplomacy, intimidate and sense motive checks when using these skills on a slave.
- Slave to None: +2 feat bonus to saving throws against effects that dominate, immobilize or slow.
