Ghost of the Past is a character theme introduced in Dragon Magazine #430. It is primarily focused around the History skill, and comes with features and optional powers revolving around re-rolling die for skill checks, ability checks, and attack rolls. It is flavored as a character from an era long past who, through one means or another, has reached present times.[Dr430:20]

Level 1: You gain training in History. If you are already trained in History, choose any other skill to gain training in. Add the language of your character's past to the list of languages you can read, write, and speak. You also gain the guidance of the past power.
Level 5: The first time you use your guidance of the past power to make a History check during an encounter, you do not expend the power.
Level 10: Whenever you spend an action point to take an action that requires you to make an attack roll, a skill check, or an ability check, you can use your guidance of the past power with the action, even if you have already expended the power.
