Guarding attack is an encounter power available to warlords at 1st level.

CharOp Evaluation: Bad, Poor for Inspiring Presence Warlords ^{[Charop Warlord]}

An encounter power that only buffs AC, and only for the target, and only for a single turn is not a good option. It's slightly better for Inspiring Warlords, but even then, it's still not impressive.
