A monk unarmed strike is a weapon in the unarmed weapon group. It can be used by characters with the Unarmed Combatant monk class feature.[PH3:63]
A monk unarmed strike is an off-hand weapon. A character can use a monk unarmed strike to make attacks even while holding another one-handed weapon in the other hand, and can use the other one-handed weapon to make attacks even if it isn't an off-hand weapon.
The Improved Monk Unarmed Strike feat increases the monk unarmed strike's damage die from 1d8 to 1d10.
