The shadow keyword indicates that the power source of a class or power is submission to the power of shadow and bonding with the Shadowfell.
Classes that draw power from the shadow power source are:
- Assassin
- Executioner, which is also Martial
- Vampire
Shadow powers are also called hexes.
The other power sources are Arcane, Divine, Martial, Primal, and Psionic.
