“Death to all tyrants.”[1][FRPG:65]

For most dragonborn and some genasi, the tyranny they faced from the dragon lords of Abeir is still fresh within they minds or, at least, their clan's minds. Although the Spellplague was a major catastrophe for Toril, it posed an opportunity for Abeir slaves to escape that corrupted realm. From this freedom, a deep hope arised for these liberated. They decided to become steelsky liberators to aid anyone under the rule of a dragon.[1][FRPG:65]

Steelsky liberators draw from ancient divine blessings of those who were enslaved by the dragon lords and those dragons of Toril through prayers. What god created these blessings is a mystery, yet the blessings stand true from the suffering and outrage of those enslaved under draconic oppersion.[1][FRPG:65]

Some steelsky liberators attempt to return to Abeir in order to free those remaining people under Abeiran dragon rule. Others take their crusade to Faerûn to slay as many chromatic dragons as they can. Anarchs of Shyr will usually aid steelsky liberators as their share a common goal, and it is not uncommon for other races to get involved.[1][FRPG:65]
