Special: A character can use wild shape once per round.
Effect: You change from your humanoid form to beast form or vice versa. When you change from beast form back to your humanoid form you shift 1 square. While you are in beast form, you can't use weapon or implement attack powers that lack the beast form keyword, although you can sustain such powers.
You can choose a specific form when you use wild shape to change into beast form. The beast form is your size, resembles a natural beast or a fey beast, and normally doesn't change your game statistics or movement modes. Your equipment becomes part of your beast form, but you drop anything you are holding, except implements you can use. You continue to gain the benefits of the equipment you wear, except a shield.
Wild shape is a druid at-will utility power. Wild shape allows a character to change between humanoid form and beast form. While in beast form, a character can use powers with the beast form keyword, but cannot use weapon or implement attacks lacking the beast form keyword.[PH2:84]
Wild shape is granted as a class feature to original druids[PH2:84] and hybrid original druids.[PH3:143] It is also granted by the Initiate of the Old Faith[PH2:196] and Beastwalker Circle[HotF:126] feats.
The March 2010 update clarified that worn shields grant no benefit in beast form.[U :3/2010] Essentials update 2 relaxed beast form's power restrictions.[U :E2] Wild shape was reprinted in Heroes of the Feywild without further changes.[HotF:126]
